  • KUBERNETES: NOTE: The following features will be available only for BMC Discovery version 24.3 and later. Added support for the Kubernetes automatic scan through the following scans (for more details, see the documentation here):
    • AWS cloud scan (DRUD1-43562).
    • Azure cloud scan (DRDC1-23828).
    • GCP cloud scan (DRDC1-23833).
    • IBM Cloud APIs (DRDC1-22366).
    • OCI cloud scan (DRUD1-43562).
  • OCI: Added a new cloud region — ap-singapore-2 Singapore West. For more details, see (DRDC1-24126) and the documentation here.
  • OCI: Added support for the Redis deep discovery. For more details, see (DRDC1-22096) and the documentation here.

CMDB sync

  • Added an ability to optionally modify the CTI (category, type, item) values. By default, the CTI values remain "Unknown". HEADS-UP: In 6 or 12 months, we will change the default CTI values. For more details, see (DRDC1-23486) and the documentation here

    .

  • Added OOTB templates of sync mapping extensions for Azure Key Vault, Azure Managed Disks, Azure Storage File Shares, and container images. For more details, see (DRDC1-23485) and the documentation here.

  • Improved the CMDB TLS Detail Document to sync IPsec Certificates. For more details, see (DRDC1-24040) and the documentation here.

  •  Introduced multiple improvements to Kubernetes (for more details, see (DRDC1-23311):
    • HEADS-UP: CMDB.Namespace_Deployment_ConcreteCollection.Namespace_Deployment_ConcreteCollection is replaced with the CMDB.Pod_Deployment_ConcreteCollection.Pod_Deployment_ConcreteCollection pattern.
    • HEADS-UP: The major version of the CMDB.Namespace_AdminDomain.Namespace_AdminDomain pattern is changed.

Network devices

  • Added support for Redfish API scan for Huawei HMM series management controllers. For more details, see (DRDC1-22241) and the documentation here.

Patterns

  • APACHE TOMCAT: Updated the Apache Tomcat Extended Discovery to create a SoftwareComponent if web.xml or context.xml files exist. For more details, see (DRDC1-23882) and the documentation here.
  • NUTANIX: Added support for Nutanix REST API V3 and Prism Central REST discovery. For more details, see (DRDC1-20646, DRDC1-21186) and the documentation here.
  • VERITAS: Added a new "High Availability" relationship to represent individual physical Veritas DR cluster nodes existing in "High-Availability Pair" (HA Pair). For more details, see (DRDC1-23554) and the documentation here.
  • We have corrected the TPL version of multiple patterns. Note that the "Deactivating old... to use newly activated module" warning is expected.
  • We now report Windows Internal Database as a separate SoftwareInstance type to Microsoft SQL Server. For more details, see (DRDC1-23231) and the documentation here.

Storage

  • Added support for discovering IBM FlashSystem 9x00/7x00/5x00 (REST). For more details, see (DRDC1-23491) and the documentation here.
  • DELL EMC RECOVERPOINT: Added support for API version 5+ for Recover Point. For more details, see (DRDC1-23282) and the documentation here.
  • HEADS-UP: The "Allocated Capacity" attribute of Storage System nodes will be deprecated in TKU March 2025. Added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute in the Dell EMC PowerMax and Dell EMC SC Series patterns. It is identical to the "Allocated Capacity" attribute. Also, added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute to the IBM FlashSystem pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-22592).
