Feature updates

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release: 

• CLOUD/AWS: Added a license_type attribute for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud. For more details, see (DRDC1-24223) and the documentation here.
• CLOUD/AWS: Improved syntax of the Amazon Web Services Organizational Units pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-24554).
• CLOUD/AZURE: Added support for Microsoft Azure App Service Certificates. For more details, see (DRDC1-22549) and the documentation here.
• CLOUD/AZURE: Added support for Microsoft Azure Virtual Network Gateways. For more details, see (DRDC1-24085) and the documentation here.
• CLOUD/AZURE: Added the following attributes for Microsoft Azure SQL Databases (for more details, see (DRDC1-24224) and the documentation here):

• CLOUD/AZURE: Updated the Microsoft Azure SQL pattern to prevent an ECA error. For more details, see (DRDC1-24823).
• CLOUD/GCP: Removed the Cloud Debagger service support due to its deprecation by Google. For more details, see (DRDC1-24726). 
• CLOUD/OCI: Added cidr_block and cidr_blocks attributes to the discovered OCI Virtual Cloud Networks data. For more details, see (DRDC1-24099) and the documentation here.
• CLOUD/OPENSTACK: Updated the trigger and versioning of the OpenStack Nova pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-22993).
• CMDB SYNC: Added a subject_alternative_names attribute to sync AWS certificates correctly. For more details, see (DRDC1-24420) and the documentation here.

• CMDB SYNC: Added an ability to optionally modify the CTI (category, type, item) values. By default, the CTI values remain "Unknown". HEADS-UP: In TKU April 2025, we will change the default CTI values. For more details, see (DRDC1-23486) and the documentation here

• CMDB SYNC: Improved the pattern to prevent depended service errors during host sync. For more details, see (DRDC1-24447).

• CMDB SYNC: Updated the tag synchronization approach to prevent performance load. Now, customers can modify or disable tags belonging to a certain category. Customers who may have written custom code for tags in the current sync mapping patterns should review the code and move it to the appropriate new sync mapping patterns. For more details, see (DRDC1-24706) and the documentation here. The three pattern modules are as follows:

  • CMDB.Cloud_Tags (BMC_DataBase (Cloud), BMC_LogicalSystemComponent, etc.)
  • CMDB.Kubernetes_Tags (BMC_ConcreteCollection (Deployment), BMC_AdminDomain (Namespace) 

  • CMDB.Tags (BMC_ComputerSystem, BMC_Cluster, etc.)
• STORAGE/EMC: Added support for the discovery of EMC PowerVault Enclosures MD1200 and MD2400. For more details, see (DRDC1-23667) and the documentation here.
• STORAGE/HITACHI: Added support for the discovery of Hitachi VSP 5000. For more details, see (DRDC1-24662) and the documentation here.
• STORAGE/IBM FlashSystem 9x00/7x00/5x00 (REST): Improved the pattern to discover IBM Spectrum Virtualize REST API without v1 in the URL. For more details, see (DRDC1-24578).
• STORAGE: Improved syntax of the Dell, HP, and IBM patterns. For more details, see (DRDC1-24655).
• STORAGE: The "Allocated Capacity" attribute of Storage System nodes will be deprecated in TKU April 2025. Added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute in the Dell EMC PowerMax and Dell EMC SC Series patterns. It is identical to the "Allocated Capacity" attribute. Also, added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute to the IBM FlashSystem pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-22592).

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release: 

• CLOUD: Resolved an issue with aging hosts after virtual machine removal. For more details, see (DRDC1-24592).
• CMDB SYNC: Resolved an issue with a failing CMDB data source. For more details, see (DRDC1-24696).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2024-Nov-1.

Taxonomy is updated for the following:

• TAXONOMY: CLOUD/OCI: Added a visualization link between CloudService and HardwareContainer. For more details, see (DRDC1-24453).
