Product content TKU 2024-Apr-1

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2024-Apr-1 contains additional product content for the 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, 22.2, 23.1, 23.3, and 24.1 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

NETWORK DEVICES: Updated the Fortinet pattern to prevent CMDB sync issues with secondary firewalls in an HA Cluster. For more information, see (DRDC1-23038).
PATTERNS: Updated the VMware Virtual Machine pattern to maintain object and data continuity for a VMware virtual machine even when the virtual machine moves to another host through vMotion. For more details, see (DRDC1-18091) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: EMC VNXe 3200 Storage: Enhanced the pattern to correctly create a single storage system node for NAS Server with multiprotocol. Also, the pattern now links the file systems with multiprotocol to the correct NAS server. For more details, see (DRDC1-23028) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Host Side Linking: Improved the pattern to use EUI for Host Side Linking between Pure Storage FlashArray and ESXi hosts. For more details, see (DRDC1-22797) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: IBM TS4300: Created a default storage system for the IBM TS4300 Tape Library storage device discovered through REST API. For more details, see (DRDC1-23032) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: The "Allocated Capacity" attribute of Storage System nodes will be deprecated in TKU March 2025. Added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute in the Dell EMC PowerMax and Dell EMC SC Series patterns. It is identical to the "Allocated Capacity" attribute. Also, added the "Total Logical Consumed Capacity" attribute to the IBM FlashSystem pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-22592).

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AZURE: Fixed an issue with erroneously destroyed Azure software instances after the discovery scan completion. For more details, see (DRDC1-23053).
PATTERNS: Fixed an issue with duplicated namespaces. For more details, see (DRDC1-22822).
