Product content TKU 2024-Feb-1

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2024-Feb-1 contains additional product content for the 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, 22.2, 23.1, 23.3, and 24.1 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

Feature updates

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AWS: Introduced the following updates for the AWS Cloud Regions map (for more details, see (DRDC1-22594) and the documentation here):
- New cloud regions: Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) (ap-south-2), Canada West (Calgary) (ca-west-1), Melbourne (ap-southeast-4), Tel Aviv (il-central-1), and Zurich (eu-central-2).
- Country labels in the Region location field.
- New endpoints.
CLOUD/GCP: We now discover network configuration for Unix Host on Google cloud. For more details, see (DRDC1-16464) and the documentation here.
CMDB SYNC: We now set the value for the ManufacturerName attribute to the BMC_LogicalSystemComponent from the publisher value of the NetworkService nodes created in Cloud discovery. For more details, see (DRDC1-22646) and (DRDC1-22484).
NETWORK DEVICES: Improved LoadBalacer discovery to prevent ECA errors. For more details, see (DRDC1-22581).
STORAGE: Pure Storage FlashArray REST pattern: Updated the NAA ID for the storage volumes. For more details, see (DRDC1-22551) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Updated the credential display name for "Pure Storage Web API" (now "Pure Storage FlashArray REST API") and "Pure Storage Web FlashBlade API" (now "Pure Storage FlashBlade REST API"). For more details, see (DRDC1-22485) and the documentation here and here.

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:

NETWORK DEVICES: Fixed incorrect links to the Content Reference pages for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Nexus VDC patterns. For more details, see (DRDC1-22718).
STORAGE: Fixed a typo in the taxonomy for Total Logical Consumed Capacity. For more details, see (DRDC1-22628).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2024-Feb-1.

Model changes

Taxonomy is updated for the following:

TAXONOMY: Added the last_status_change attribute to Network Interface. For more details, see (DRDC1-21669).
TAXONOMY: Hitachi REST pattern: Fixed an issue with the missing StoragePool capacity. For more details, see (DRDC1-22524).
