Product content TKU 2023-Sep-2

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2023-Sep-2 contains additional product content for the 20.08, 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, 22.2, 23.1, and 23.3 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

CLOUD/AWS: Added the cloud_id value (Cloud Identifier) for Amazon Host nodes with the ARN. For more details, see (DRDC1-20458).

HOST: Improved the discovery of the HP ProLiant server running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12. For more details, see (DRDC1-21641).
NETWORK DEVICES: Improved the discovery of the operational status attribute in the NetworkInterface inferred node. For more details, see (DRDC1-21659).
DATABASES: SAP HANA Extended Database Discovery. Improved the database discovery by adding the SAP HANA JDBC driver. For more details, see (DRDC1-21108) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Updated the Huawei OceanStor REST pattern to discover FC ports if an FC parent ID has non-standard formatting. For more details, see (DRDC1-21508) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Updated the pattern to discover vStores (virtual StorageSystem) and Logical Ports (virtual Network Interfaces). For more details, see (DRDC1-14669) and the documentation here.

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:

API: Fixed an issue with the topology output that returns nodes outside of the model definition. For more details, see (DRUD1-42081).
CLOUD/OCI: Fixed an issue with a trailing space in the short_name of the cloud provider. For more details, see (DRDC1-21617) and the documentation here.

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2023-Sep-2.
