Product content TKU 2023-Nov-1

Copy-of-Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2023-Oct-1 contains additional product content for the 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, 22.2, 23.1, and 23.3 versions of BMC Discovery.

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You can prevent the restart, but none of the knowledge content will be installed if you do so.

Feature updates

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AWS: The AWS LoadBalancer pattern is optimized to improve scan performances. For more details, see (DRDC1-21081) and the documentation here.
CLOUD/GCP: Updated the discovery of Google Cloud Dataproc Clusters. For more details, see (DRDC1-21832) and the documentation here.
CLOUD/OCI: Updated the OCI discovery to use an instance ID instead of a missing VM name. For more details, see (DRDC1-22013) and the documentation here.
HOST: Added linking from the Python RuntimeEnvironment to all relevant Python DiscoveredProcess nodes on the host. For more details, see (DRDC1-21824) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Added a new relationship "StorageUse" between the ESXi disk drive and Storage System (type: vSAN) from which it is created. For more details, see (DRDC1-7561) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Added the access types to the name of the storage system for the CIFS and NFS servers. For more details, see (DRDC1-21947) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Added the total disk space attribute to the storage system node for PureStorage FlashArray REST. For more details, see (DRDC1-21922) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Corrected HNAS Model to be compatible with the distributed model and to discover IP addresses when the MIB standard does not return an IP address. For more details, see (DRDC1-21407) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Improved the discovery of the capacity metrics for the storage system and storage pools for Dell EMC PowerMax 8500 and 2500. Also, enhanced the disk capacity. For more details, see (DRDC1-21763) and the documentation here.
STORAGE: Improved the Hitachi Network Attached Storage HNAS pattern to discover the cluster_info attribute properly. For more details, see (DRDC1-21860) and the documentation here.

Defects

The following defects are fixed within the scope of this release:

CLOUD/AWS: Fixed an issue with an overloaded AWS load balancer. For more details, see (DRDC1-21949).
CLOUD/OCI: Fixed an issue with an overloaded OCI load balancer. For more details, see (DRDC1-21948).
CLOUD/OCI: Fixed an issue with missing returned values for the addTags() common function. For more details, see (DRDC1-21902).
STORAGE: Fixed an issue with an ECA error triggered by the absence of metrics from the Dell EMC PowerMax REST pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-21846).
STORAGE: Fixed an issue with a missing value in the getHostConnections function of the IBM Spectrum Control pattern. For more details, see (DRDC1-21903).
VAULT: Fixed an issue for a vault source change in Rancher credentials (from "local" to "CyberArk"). For more details, see (DRUD1-41994).
