Product Content TKU 2022-Nov-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2022-Nov-1 contains additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, and 22.2 series.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. The appliance is restarted when product content is added to the update. You are allowed to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following features and enhancements are introduced within the scope of this release: 

  1. CLOUD/AZURE: Provided support for the Azure Queue Service. For details, see (DRDC1-19759).
  2. CLOUD/AWS: Provided support for the AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall). For details, see (DRDC1-17041).
  3. CLOUD/OCI: Provided the ability to discover 'defined_tags' information for each OCI resource. For details, see (DRDC1-19948).
  4. CLOUD/OCI: Implemented additions of OS information to OCI VMs. For details, see (DRDC1-19827).
  5. CLOUD/OCI: Added OS and os version attributes for VM nodes. For details, see (DRDC1-19920).
  6. NETWORK: Enhanced the Blade Enclosure model. For details, see (DRDC1-19201).
  7. SOFTWARE: Add new relationship between Collection and SoftwareComponent nodes. For details see, (DRDC1-19925).

Defects

The following defects were fixed within the scope of this release: 

  1. CLOUD: The link between IBM Cloud Virtual Server and host is not created when Scope is defined. For details, see (DRDC1-19977).
  2. STORAGE: Discovery uses an invalid REST API credential instead of a valid WBEM credential to discover the Hitachi Storage devices. For details see, (DRDC1-19928).
  3. SYNC MAPPING: "Company" is not set for BMC_Cluster and BMC_AdminDomain. For details, see (DRUD1-36972).


Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2022-Nov-1.

Model changes

  1. Taxonomy has been updated for Collection Class to include a relationship to SoftwareComponent with the following information "Collection:Collection:Member:SoftwareComponent [SoftwareComponents]". For details, see (DRDC1-19925).
