Product Content TKU 2022-May-1

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2022-May-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, and 22.2 series.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following features were updated or introduced in Product Content 2022-May-1: 

  1. CLOUD/GCP: new inventory pattern for GCP Cloud Build Worker Pool. For details, see (DRDC1-18712).
  2. CLOUD/GCP: new inventory pattern for GCP Artifact Registry Repository. For details, see (DRDC1-18711).
  3. CLOUD/AZURE: new inventory pattern for Azure: Microsoft-Azure-IoT-Hub. For details, see (DRDC1-16094 and DRDC1-17947).
  4. CLOUD/AWS: Create Discovery conditions for AWS VMs which can't be discovered via SSM. For details, see (DRDC1-18325).
  5. CLOUD/AWS: CloudStack YAML template finalized and downloadable from the appliance. For details, see (DRDC1-17884).
  6. CLOUD/ALIBABA: Alibaba Patterns updated with the 'cloud_id' attribute. For details, see (DRDC1-18750).
  7. CLOUD/IBM: Update IBM Patterns and CommonFunctions with new attributes: 'cloud_acccount_id'. For details, see (DRDC1-18387).
  8. CLOUD/GCP: Update GCP Patterns and CommonFunctions with new attribute 'cloud_acccount_id' and 'cloud_account_name'. For details, see (DRDC1-18386).
  9. NEW PRODUCT: Enable API Discovery for Cohesity/DL380 Gen10 Devices. For details, see (DRDC1-17566).

Defects

The following defects were fixed in Product Content 2022-May-1: 

  1. CLOUD/ALIBABA: ECA error on scanning Alibaba cloud fixed. For details, see (DRDC1-18699).
  2. TAXONOMY: HRD row on Host node shows no details, fixed. For details, see (DRUD1-37104).
  3. AWS: ECA errors are got during scanning AWS related to AmazonWebServices.RDS_PostgreSQL.Databases pattern. For details, see (DRDC1-18709).
  4. ECA errors in RDS_PostgreSQL.Databases when scanning AWS credentials that have no roles. For details, see (DRDC1-18697).
