Product Content TKU 2022-Jun-1

Technology Knowledge Update TKU 2022-June-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05, 21.3, 22.1, and 22.2 series.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following features were updated or introduced in Product Content 2022-June-1: 

  1. CLOUD/ALIBABA: Update Alibaba Patterns and CommonFunctions with new attributes. For details, see (DRDC1-18388).
  2. CLOUD/AWS: Discover Amazon FSx. For details, see (DRDC1-18235).
  3. CLOUD/AWS: AWS S3 Buckets updated with encryption and access points attributes. For details, see (DRDC1-18762, DRDC1-14682).
  4. STORAGE PATTERNS: Created a new credential type CEPH REST API. For details, see (DRDC1-18748).
  5. PRODUCT: Adding model and serial information obtained for Avamar Datastore physical nodes. For details, see (DRUD1-32749).
  6. PRODUCT: Improved HPE OneView Hostname. For details, see (DRDC1-18957).
  7. PRODUCT: Improved domain acceptance for several Solaris machines. For details, see (DRDC1-18943).
  8. PRODUCT: Provided support for new Hardware/OS - MacPro7,1. For details, see (DRDC1-19003).

Defects

The following defects were fixed in Product Content 2022-June-1: 

  1. CLOUD/GOOGLE: Fix ECA errors in the GoogleComputeEngine pattern. For details, see (DRDC1-18943, and DRDC1-18973).
  2. CLOUD/AZURE: View API documentation links in the Azure cloud provider redirect to a 404 error page. For details, see (DRDC1-18314).
  3. CLOUD/OPENSTACK: Hypervisor (VMWare, KVM...) discovery and OpenStack discovery generate duplicated VMs. For details, see (DRDC1-17474).
  4. CLOUD/AWS: Some AWS services lack any permission entries. For details, see (DRDC1-18309).
  5. CLOUD/AZURE: Azure MicrosoftAzure.ManagementGroups.InferManagementGroups can make the scan stop. For details, see (DRDC1-18542).
