Product Content TKU 2022-Feb-1

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2022-Feb-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05, and 21.3 series.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following features were updated or introduced in Product Content 2022-Feb-1: 

  1. CLOUD/AWS: AWS Outposts: add support for S3 Buckets on AWS Outposts. For details, see (DRDC1-17618).
  2. CLOUD/AWS: Reduce a quantity of requests for AWS global services. For details, see (DRDC1-17886).
  3. CONTAINER: Kubernetes/Openshift API Provider calls improvement. For details, see (DRDC1-18217).
  4. STORAGE: New relationship between Host and StorageSystem/StorageSystemGroup. For details, see (DRDC1-17924).

Defects

The following defects were fixed in Product Content 2022-Feb-1: 

  1. CLOUD/AWS: The database model modeled via API differs from the model on SQL request (Amazon.RDS). For details, see (DRDC1-18017).
  2. VAULT: Stealing Credentials of vaults. For details, see (DRUD1-36025).
  3. MODEL: Model updates incorrectly handle relationships from service/app to host. For details, see (DRUD1-36042).
  4. VAULT/HashiCorp: Duplicate SIs created on HP SRP (Secure Resource Partition). For details, see (DRUD1-24492).
  5. VAULT/HashiCorp: Full Read SSRF. For details, see (DRUD1-35886).
  6. PROXY: Proxy netstat parsing broken - missing "languages" from product content. For details, see (DRUD1-36089).
  7. ADE/BHOM: TKU pattern does not handle Remote Monitoring correctly. For details, see (DRDC1-18292).
