Product Content TKU 2022-Apr-1

Technology-Knowledge-Update-TKU-2022-Apr-1 contains the following additional product content for the BMC Discovery 12.0, 20.08, 21.05, 21.3, and 22.1 series.

Warning

Product content updates require appliance restart

This TKU release contains product content additions. When product content is added, the appliance is restarted as part of the update. You are given the opportunity to prevent the restart, though if you do so, none of the knowledge content will be installed.

Feature updates

The following features were updated or introduced in Product Content 2022-Apr-1: 

  1. CLOUD/AZURE: New cloud inventory pattern for Azure Purview. For details, see (DRDC1-16735).
  2. CLOUD/AZURE: New cloud inventoryAzure Firewall. For details, see (DRDC1-16770).
  3. CLOUD/AZURE: New inventory pattern for Azure Cognitive Search. For details, see (DRDC1-16738).
  4. CLOUD/Azure: Attribute 'logical_database_type' is not set for Azure Managed Databases. For details, see (DRDC1-18083).
  5. CLOUD/AWS: The AWS CloudFormation YAML Template is available here. For details, see (DRDC1-17884).
  6. CLOUD/AWS: Handle "ThrottlingException" exception during AWS SSM discovery. For details, see (DRDC1-18529).
  7. CLOUD/AWS: Update AWS and Azure Patterns with new attributes for accounts (taxonomy has been updated accordingly). For details, see (DRDC1-18384, DRDC1-18385, DRDC1-18389).
  8. SOFTWARE: Support for VMWare Workspace One has been added in the Heuristics. For details, see (DRDC1-13185).
  9. SOFTWARE: Removed InstanceName from BMC_Cluster CI (DRDC1-18645)

Defects

The following defects were fixed in Product Content 2022-Apr-1: 

  1. CLOUD/Kubernetes: Kubernetes API scan now works on 12.2. For details, see (DRDC1-18727).
  2. CLOUD/GCP: 12.4 with current tkn_ship breaks GCP/IAP scanning. For details, see (DRUD1-36760).
  3. HOST: RAM is not reported correctly on Solaris 11.1 / amd64. For details, see (DRUD1-15441).
  4. TAXONOMY: The taxonomy does not contain Dependency between Hosts or GenericElement and Host, which breaks imported service models. For details, see (DRUD1-36908).
  5. TAXONOMY: Added relationship ManagementController:ElementWithDetail:Detail:Detail:Detail taxonomy for Discovery 12.0, 12.1 and 12.4 (DRDC1-18486)
  6. VAULT: CyberArk and HashiCorp client certificate UI do not work as expected. For details, see (DRUD1-36308).
  7. BHOM: TKU pattern does not handle Remote Monitoring correctly (DRDC1-18292).
  8. BHOM: TKU pattern for AKN_HOST can create incorrect Host (DRDC1-18432).

Changes to discovery commands

Discovery commands are unchanged in Product Content 2022-Apr-1.

Model changes

The following updates are introduced in Product Content 2022-Apr-1: 

  1. Taxonomy has been updated with management relations from SI to Management Controller and Network Device (DRDC1-13759).
