11.0.00 Enhancements
Kubernetes
This release brings support for the Kubernetes cluster orchestration system, a leading solution to manage cloud-native containerized environments. Relevant capacity metrics are extracted from Kubernetes clusters and loaded into BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, including a number of derived metrics specifically designed for capacity management use cases. Additionally, advanced analytics over the extracted data are provided in the form of an interactive dashboard, the Kubernetes View.
This solution is designed to address some of most relevant challenges arising in containerized environments, including understanding the residual capacity, identifying bottleneck resources and predicting saturation dates both at the infrastructure level (cluster and nodes) and at the application level (deployments and pods).
The integration supports the extraction of both performance and configuration data across different component of the Kubernetes system and can be configured via parameters that allow entity filtering and many other settings. Additionally, the connector is able to replicate relationships and logical dependencies among entities such as clusters, nodes, namespaces, deployments and pods.

Connectors improvements
SCOM
This release brings support for the Microsoft SCOM 2016. This includes the support of the new Management Packs for
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016
- Microsoft Hyper-V 2016
The ETL configuration experience has also been simplified. It's now possible to select metric classes without explicitly selecting the management pack family

To prevent importing configuration metrics for decommissioned systems, an new feature is now available which allows to import configuration metrics only if performance metrics are found. This is possible by enabling the new ETL configuration option called "Import configuration metrics only if performance metrics are found".
Cloudera
This release brings support to more fine-grained characterization of storage space consumption in big data environments. This provides easier detection of storage wastage conditions or identification of power users, and possibly enable reclamation or right-sizing initiatives to save storage costs.
In particular, the integrator now allows gathering the following new metrics:
- HDFS Total File Size by User
- HDFS File Count by User

SCOM and Tivoli aggregations
This release brings support for a new set of aggregated metrics at the server level for the network and disk resources.
This enhancement allows more higher level analysis of resource utilization, which can now be seen at the server level instead of the resource level (e.g. individual disk or network interface). This also allows the TrueSight Capacity Optimization out-of-the-box views to provide additional higher-level server metrics for the entities imported by the SCOM and Tivoli connectors.
