Regions page in the Openstack view_24.2

he Regions page in the OpenStack view displays information about the region, an infrastructure segregation that is used for separating geographic areas. It lets you view capacity and decision support metrics at the region level in OpenStack views.

You can access this page in the TrueSight console using one of the following ways:

  • Select  Capacity > Views > Cloud > OpenStack  and click the Regions  tab
  • In the OpenStack > Cloud page, navigate to the Related Information panel and click the Regions link.

The following figure shows the Regions view page displaying region related information for a selected cloud.

Viewing the OpenStack Regions table

The Regions table lists all regions of the OpenStack view contained in the selected cloud.

Each row corresponds to the OpenStack region and displays the following information. By default, some columns are hidden. You can show or hide columns using the action menuhttps://docs.bmc.com/docs/capacityoptimization/btco2002/files/914175366/1168620172/1/1493903742486/action_menu.pngthat is located next to the Regions table title. For more information, see Sorting a table in the TrueSight console .

Days to Saturation

The projected amount of time before one of the resources (CPU, MEMORY, STORAGE) in the Region runs out of available capacity. It displays a number of days to saturation for the least available resource.

Computed by AFS using total capacity and 95th utilization of CPU, Memory and Storage

IND_DAYS_TO_SATURATION

Bottleneck Resource

Name of the resource that has either saturated or will saturate in the next 30 days. Bottleneck resource can be CPU, MEMORY or STORAGE. The field is blank if none of the resources has saturated, or will saturate.

Computed by AFS using total capacity and 95th utilization of CPU, Memory and Storage

Viewing detailed information about a region

After you click on the region in the Region column, the details for that region are displayed in the Region Details page. The Region details page displays the following information:

Region Details table

Section or Panel

Description

General details section

General details, such as region name, type, and a number of elements within it are displayed.

Related Information panel

Clicking the links in the Related Information panel displays the other information related to the selected region.

Tags panel

Displays tags, if any, that are associated with the region. You can add tags to the region using the action menu https://docs.bmc.com/docs/capacityoptimization/btco2002/files/914175366/1168620172/1/1493903742486/action_menu.pngthat is located next to Tags. For more information, see  Working with tag filters.

Summary tab

The Summary tab, that is displayed by default, displays details for the selected region in a horizontal summary table, as well as charts.

Analysis charts: Core metrics for the selected entity are displayed as analysis charts, depending on available data. A link at the bottom of each chart allows you to view the data for a specific resource type. You can download, save an offline copy, annotate, and print the charts. For more information, see Managing charts.

Using data filters and other controls in tables

You can sort and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, export the data to Excel, select a different cloud, clear the selected cloud, and so on.

For more information, see Sorting a table in the TrueSight console and Using filtering options in the TrueSight console.
