Analyze storage usage trends with improved insights in vSphere Virtual Machines and Data Explorer views

Access enhanced file system insights across the vSphere Virtual Machines view and the vSphere Data Explorer view. These insights help you analyze storage usage and identify trends more effectively. You can also view Days to Saturation predictions to plan capacity proactively and prevent resource shortages.

Generate Excel export by using the DataMart API

Use the DataMart API to create Excel (.xlsx) outputs from your DataMart queries. Apply standard query parameters to extract the data you need and download it for reporting, audits, automation workflows, or external analysis.

Support for controlling add-on updates

Control automatic add-on updates by using the addon.autoupdate.blacklist property while performing deployment tasks. In addition to blocking specific add-on IDs, you can set the value to all to prevent automatic updates for all add-ons.

When the addon.autoupdate.blacklist property is set, add-on upgrades must be performed manually from the Maintenance page.

Support for Linux Configuration Metrics

BMC PATROL for Linux 22.4.12 and later introduces improved Linux monitoring controls. Linux configuration metrics are collected only when you enable the Collect OS Configuration option in the policy.

This helps reduce unnecessary configuration data collection and lowers system load.

View GPU performance by using the Nvidia GPU dashboard

GPU dashboards in BMC Helix Dashboards provide centralized visibility into Nvidia GPU performance metrics sourced from BMC Helix Continuous Optimization. Capacity Administrators can track GPU utilization, memory usage, power consumption, and temperature metrics through summary and per-server views across GPU-enabled servers.

Retrieve task execution details by using the task execution visibility APIs

Task execution visibility APIs expose task catalogs, execution status, execution history, and per‑run metadata to provide clear visibility into ETL task health and performance.

Support for task timezone display in ETL and System tasks

The ETL and System tasks status pages display the task timezone, enabling administrators to correctly interpret the last and next execution times across components running in different time zones.

Support for filtering and sorting by last activity date in the unassigned domain

The unassigned domain in the workspace supports filtering and sorting of entities by last activity date stored at the entity level.

Filter redundant short-lived resources during migration

During historical data migration, redundant short-lived sub-resources are excluded by default to reduce unnecessary data transfer and improve migration performance. Configurable ETL properties allow administrators to optionally extend or override the default filtering behavior when required.
