Scenario

Alan, a capacity planner, utilizes BMC Helix Continuous Optimization to establish thresholds for business services and identify potential future capacity risks. By analyzing forecasted capacity scores, Alan identifies which services are likely to reach capacity limits soon. He uses these insights to plan scaling actions and allocate resources, helping prevent service-impacting issues before they happen.

Susan, an SRE, monitors service health in BMC Helix AIOps. She uses the Future Capacity Risk indicator to quickly identify business services that might be at risk due to capacity limitations. When Susan sees a high-risk score for a service, she opens the Future Capacity Risk panel to review the details and uses the cross-launch option to access the Business Service details page in BMC Helix Continuous Optimization. This helps her understand the capacity risks and take proactive steps to ensure service reliability.
