Configuring the Remote ETL Engine Updater task

The Remote ETL Engine Updater task updates all the Remote ETL Engines installed in your environment. Configure this task to schedule the update of Remote ETL Engines. Whenever the latest version of Remote ETL Engine is available, the status of Remote ETL Engines in your environment is changed to outdated. When this task runs as scheduled, it updates these Remote ETL Engines to the latest version. If the Remote ETL Engines are already current, the task ends without performing any update.

To configure the Remote ETL Engine Updater task

  1. Log in to the BMC Helix Portal and launch BMC Helix Continuous Optimization.
  2. Select Administration > ETL and System Tasks > System Tasks.
  3. Search for the Remote ETL Engine Updater task and click to open it.
  4. Click Edit task, and provide these details:
    1. Name and optional description
    2. The maximum time for which the task can run before the warning
    3. The predefined or custom frequency to run the task
    4. The date and time to run the task
    5. The scheduler where the task runs
  5. Save the changes.

The task runs according to the defined schedule and updates the Remote ETL Engines.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
