Linux metrics


The following metric groups are available for Linux systems.

File System Statistic metrics

The following table lists all the File System Statistic metrics that are available for Linux systems. 

Metric

Description

File System Type

The type of file system on the system.

Capacity

Total storage capacity of the system.

Free

Free space available on the system.

Logical Vol Name

Name of the logical volume in use.

Total Inodes in FS

Number of inodes of a specific filesystem.

Free Inodes in FS

Number of free inodes.

User Free Space

Free space available on the system for the user.

Filesystem ID 

The ID of the filesystem in use.

Block Size 

Size of the memory block in use.

Free Blocks

Number of free blocks available.

Total Blocks

Total number of memory blocks available.

Remote

Indicates whether or not this file system can be accessed remotely.

KBytes Written

Total amount of bytes written to the filesystem.

Used FS 

The total amount of filesystem space that is currently in use.

FS Ratio

The existing file system ratio.

Used Inodes

The total number of used inodes.

Inode Ratio

The existing inode ratio.

User Capacity 

Capacity available in the file system for the user.

Utilization 

The total utilization of the file system.

Inode Utilization

The total utilization of inodes in the file system.

User Utilization 

The total amount of utilization of the file system by the specified user.

Statistics Available

Indicates whether or not I/O statistics are available. 0 = No; 1 = Yes.

NUMA Node Statistics metrics

The following table provides information about the NUMA Node Statistics metrics for Linux systems.

Metric

Description

Node ID

The ID of node.

CPU Idle Time

The measure of unused CPU time in seconds.

CPU User Time

Measure of application-related CPU activity in seconds.

CPU System Time

Measure of system-related CPU activity in seconds.

CPU Wait Time

Interval that the processor spends in an I/O wait state.

CPU Interrupt Time

Interval that the processor spends handling hardware or software interrupts.

CPU Involuntary Wait Time

Time (in seconds) that the processor spends in involuntary wait.

Total Memory

System installed memory in KB.

Free Memory

Total unused memory in system in KB.

Active Memory

The size (in KB) of the memory that is currently used by the partition.

Inactive Memory

The memory (in KB) allocated to a process that is not running.

Shared Memory

The memory (in KB) that is shared between processes.

Anonymous Huge Page Memory

The size (in KB) of the huge pages that are not backed by files and are mapped into userspace page tables.

Total Huge Page Memory

The total size (in KB) of the memory that is allocated to huge pages.

Free Huge Page Memory

The size (in KB) of the available huge page memory.

Surplus Huge Page Memory

The size (in KB) of the huge page memory pool that is available due to overcommitment.

Hit Memory

The number of memory pages that were allocated to the node measured in KB.

Miss Memory

The number of pages that were allocated on the node due to low memory on the intended node measured in KB.

Foreign Memory

The number of pages that were intended for this node but allocated to another node measured in KB.

Interleave Hit Memory

The number of interleave policy pages that were successfully allocated to this node measured in KB.

Local Node Memory

The number of pages that were allocated on this node by a process on the node measured in KB.

Other Node Memory

The number of pages that were allocated on this node by a process on another node measured in KB.

Memory Utilization

The percentage of memory that is used.

CPU Utilization

The measure of processor load.

System Busy

The system that is reported as busy.

NUMA Node Configuration

The following table provides information about the NUMA Node Configuration metrics for Linux systems.

Metric

Description

Node ID

The ID of NUMA node.

NUMA Node ID

The ID that represents association of a specific processor with a particular NUMA node.

Number of Processors

Number of CPUs that are installed in the NUMA node.

Total Memory

Total amount of RAM that is installed in the NUMA node.

Processor List

String-based representation of the processors that are associated with the NUMA node.
