Restricting the number of Manager runs
Use the data processing configuration file (dataProcessing.cfg) to limit the number of Manager runs that will be executed at a given time. This also cuts down on the number of times Analyze and Predict will run.
By modifying the MAX_CONCURRENT_DATA_PROCESSING option, you have greater control of the resource usage consumed by multiple Manager runs. This limits the chance that the data processing for one or more of the runs will time out.
The configuration file is located at:
- On Windows: %BEST1_COLLECT_HOME%\local\setup
- On UNIX: $BEST1_HOME/local/setup
A sample file can be found at:
- On Windows: %BEST1_COLLECT_HOME%\bgs\setup\dataProcessing.cfg.sample
- On UNIX: $BEST1_HOME/bgs/setup/dataProcessing.cfg.sample
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
