Calculating spare VM estimates

The Capacity page of the vSphere Infrastructure view provides an estimate of the additional VMs that can be added to a cluster based on a typical VM configuration. Using this estimate, you can identify the clusters with residual or spare capacity.

Spare VM calculation

Spare VMs are computed by using the resource consumption of a typical VM in the cluster.
