Configuring the Database Cleaner task


The Database Cleaner task deletes the following types of data from the file system to free up space: Old results of report instances and external forecasted data

You can customize the aging period for deletion.

To configure the Database Cleaner task

  1. Log in to the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization console.
  2. Navigate to Administration > ETL & SYSTEM TASKS > System tasks
  3. In the System tasks table, click Database Cleaner.
    The task details page is displayed.
  4. In the Run configurations table, click Edit edit icon.png.
  5. In the General configuration section, specify the task name, deployment status or environment, and a description.
  6. In the Database cleaner section, configure the data aging settings:

    1. In the Report aging field, specify the number of results per report instances that you want to retain. By default, the 100 most recent results are retained, and the older results are purged.
    2. In the External forecasted data aging field, specify the number of days for which you want to retain the external forecasted data. The default is 730 days and the older data is purged. 
  7. Save the changes.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
