Determining how to extract compressed files

Directory Extractor (DirE) support extraction from compressed archives. The supported compression formats are:

  • ZIP
  • GZIP
  • BZIP2

Compressed archives should adhere to the following convention: the file contained into the archive must have the name of the archive without the compression suffix. For example, the archive aslog_001.zip must contain the file aslog_001.

Note

Only one file per archive is supported.
