Using the Quick analysis tool
To add metric series or formula to a quick analysis
Depending on how you access the quick analysis tool, there might be no metric series to analyze initially. To add one or more series to a quick analysis, perform these steps:
- Click Add series.
- Locate the required metric series, specifying the following parameters:

- System/ Business driver: Select the system or business driver to be inspected.
- Metric/ Formula: Select the required metric or formula. For details on using formulas in an analysis, see Using-a-custom-formula-in-an-analysis.
- Subresource: If the metric is an aggregate, select the subresource; otherwise, the default value is used (for example, GLOBAL). You can also select subresources for the custom formula.
- Location: If none is present, the default value is used (for example, UNKNOWN).
- Click Add series.
The list of all added series is displayed at the top of the page. To add more time series, repeat the procedure or perform a search and click Add series next to a resource metric in the list of search results.
