Setting user preferences


In BMC Helix Continuous Optimization, set individual preferences to view data; for example, charts in views. This setting lets you view and analyze data according to your convenience and requirements.

To set a user preference

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Continuous Optimization.
  2. Click your profile icon.
  3. Click My preferences.
    The My preferences page is displayed.

  4. Complete the following settings:

    Setting

    Date format

    Select the date format in which you want to display date values in the user interface.

    Time format

    Select the time format in which you want to display time in the user interface.

    Number Format

    Select the number format in which you want to display numeric values in the user interface.

    Default Analysis Name

    Enter a default name that must be populated automatically while creating an analysis.

    CSV Column Separator

    Enter the delimiter character to separate data columns in the .csv file.

    CSV Decimal Separator

    Enter the decimal separator that must be used to format numbers in the .csv file.

    Administrator tasks

    Select the check box to view all the private analyses, models, and documents of other users available in the Works folder of the Workspace tab.

    (Applicable only for charts on the Views tab)

    Charts Default Timezone

    Select one of the following options:

    • Use the global timezone: Displays data in the time zone specified in the global setting.
      Learn more about global settings in Configuring-the-global-settings.
    • Specified timezone: Displays data in the time zone that you select from the list. The time zone list is enabled only when you select Specified timezone.  
      You can check whether the time zones in the list follow the Daylight Saving Time (DST): 

      • The Standard Time label on the time zones indicates that these time zones will not be affected by DST anytime during the year.
      • The time zones without the Standard Time label follow standard time during the Fall season but will be affected by DST during the Summer season.

      For example, Argentina Standard Time indicates non-DST and Eastern Time indicates DST-affected time zones. 

      Important: If a user specifies a time zone, it takes precedence over the time zone that you set globally.

    Edit default mode

    Select the check box to display the advanced settings in all editors.

  5. Click Save.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
