The following video (3:16) provides a high-level summary of the new features and enhancements in version 24.1 of BMC Helix Continuous Optimization.
Support for ARM architecture
The Continuous Optimization Agents support the ARM64 (AArch64) architecture on the following platforms:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15.x
For a complete list of supported operating systems, see System-requirements-for-the-Continuous-Optimization-Agent.
Updates to Analysis chart options
The following enhancements are added to the Analysis Chart options:
Option to ignore string case when splitting analysis charts for subresources
Use the Do not split according to case sensitivity option if you do not want to split charts for similar subresources (from the same metric) that have the same names but are case-sensitive. This option is available only when you select the A chart for each subresource option from the Chart Split list.
Ability to configure maximum rows in the table
Use the Max Rows in Table option to configure the maximum number of rows that can be displayed in the table of Analysis charts. This option is displayed only when you select any of the following chart types:
- Time - Table
- Last values - Table
- Summary - Table
Enhanced OpenStack - OpenStack API Extractor Service
The OpenStack - OpenStack API Extractor Service is enhanced to import additional derived metrics for the following OpenStack entities:
- Cloud
- Region
- Host Aggregate
- Availability Zone
For details, see Entities-lookup-information-and-metrics-for-OpenStack-API-ETL.
Extractor to collect data from Entuity by using the REST API
Use the Moviri - Entuity REST Extractor to collect relevant capacity metrics from the Entuity network monitoring by using the REST API. This extractor supports the following use cases:
- Extraction of both performance and configuration data across network components monitored by Entuity.
- Replication of relationships and logical dependencies among entities defined in Entuity to BMC Helix Continuous Optimization.
- Support for configuration parameters, such as device filtering, metrics filtering, and limiting the data volume processed in a single run.
For details, see Moviri-Entuity-REST-Extractor.
Support for the Optic data source in Moviri - HP NNMi Extractor
The Moviri - HP NNMi Extractor supports data collection from the HP NNMi Optic SaaS and on-premises environments. For details, see Moviri-HP-NNMi-Extractor.
Support for Oracle ZFS (REST) storage systems in Storage All-in-One Extractor Service
The Storage All-in-One Extractor Service uses the Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance REST API to import capacity data from Oracle ZFS Storage systems. For details, see Storage-All-in-One-Extractor-Service.
