BMC Mainframe CDB Extractor
The BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes ETL collects data from your mainframe infrastructure, including CPCs, LPARs, z/OS images, user-defined jobs, and applications.
Before you begin
Before you configure and run this ETL to collect mainframe data, make sure that the following tasks are completed:

To configure and run the ETL
Data from UIE is transferred and populated into a CDB staging database. To get this data into the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization Database, you must:
- Configure the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for MainframesETL task to pull data from the CDB staging database and populate the data warehouse
- Run the ETL task manually to prepare various system parameters
- Schedule the ETL task to run automatically to keep the data warehouse updated with the latest information
