Deprecated features and components
Deprecated features are still available in the product or service. However, they are no longer under active development and might be discontinued from the product in the future. We encourage you to plan and implement the recommended change.

Database Server entity type | Database Server entity type is discontinued in version 23.3. A database server instance is identified as a Generic type instead of a Database Server type. |
Bookmarks | Support for adding bookmarks in Workspace is discontinued in version 23.2.01. As Workspace pages include dynamic URLs, we recommend that you use a bookmark functionality in a web browser to bookmark the content that you use frequently. You can continue to access your existing bookmarks from the Bookmarks folder in Workspace. |
Robust Exponential Damping algorithms | Support for Robust Exponential Damping and Robust Exponential Damping - Last Ramp algorithms is discontinued in version 22.4. |
Documents in the Workspace | Support for adding documents such as analysis and saved reports to a domain is discontinued in version 22.2. |

Windows Gateway Server | The Windows version of Gateway Server is discontinued in version 21.02. BMC recommends that you use the Linux Gateway Server version. Analyze and Predict user interfaces, with workload characterization, continue to exist in the product. You can install these components from the Downloads page. |
Software Update and Queue Waiter system tasks | Software Update and Queue Waiter system tasks are discontinued in version 21.02. |
HP-UX capacity view | Support for the HP-UX capacity view is discontinued in version 21.02. |
Day class and Hour class in Calendar | Support for classifying date and time for data analysis by specifying day class and hour class is discontinued in version 21.02. |

Show historical relations in Workspace | Support for the Show historical relations option is discontinued in version 21.02. The Hierarchy tab will no longer display an additional details about the hierarchy of the selected domain, such as the date on which the hierarchy was defined, date to which the hierarchy is active and hierarchy relation of the selected domain with the parent or child domain. |
Advanced reports | Support for the Advanced reports is discontinued in version 21.02. You can continue to create basic reports (now called, Reports) based on existing models and analyses. |

Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 | Starting with the 21.02 release (targeted for February 2021), BMC will not support the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 11 with BMC CMDB. For a complete list of BMC products that will no longer support Internet Explorer 11, see the BMC Customer Support Communities page. As technology continues to advance, it has become more challenging to resolve browser-specific issues related to Internet Explorer 11. We may attempt to fix some issues related to that version, but some features may not work as expected. Because of security compromises and performance issues, we recommend that you do not use Internet Explorer 11. Instead, we encourage you to switch to other fully supported browsers listed for BMC Helix Continuous Optimization in the Supported-browsers topic. BMC will still support Internet Explorer 11 on releases of BMC products prior to version 21.02 where Internet Explorer 11 was already supported. Important: Microsoft still supports Internet Explorer 11 on some operating systems (including Microsoft Windows 8.1 and 10 and Windows Server 2012 and 2016).
