UNIX storage metrics


The following storage-related metrics and metric groups are available for UNIX and Linux systems.

Disk Statistics

The Disk Statistics metric group contains metrics that reflect the state and performance of the disks in your system. The metrics are described in the following table. 

Disk Ctrl Statistics

The Disk Ctrl Statistics metrics group in the following table contains metrics that reflect the state and performance of the disks in your system. This metric group is only available for AIX. 


Multi Path Disk Statistics

The Multi Path Disk Statistics metric group contains metrics that reflect the state and performance of the disks in your system. This metric group is only available for AIX. The metrics are described in the following table. 




File System Statistics

The File System Statistics metric group contains metrics that reflect the use of file systems. It is a table group, containing one data record per file system. The metrics are described in the following table. 

Swap Statistics

The metrics in the Swap Statistics metric group are described in the following table. All metrics in this group except Process Context Switches are unavailable on Linux. 


Swap Device Statistics

This group contains a record for every swap/paging device or file. It lists the active swap devices on the system and the used or free space on them. The group is supported on all UNIX platforms. The metrics in the Swap Device Statistics metrics group are described in the following table. 

Partition Statistics

The metrics in the Partition Statistics metric group are described in the following table. Partition Statistics are available on Solaris and Linux. 


Tape Statistics

The metrics in the Tape Statistics metric group are described in the following table. Tape Statistics are available only on Solaris and Linux. 


Logical Volume Statistics

The metrics in the Logical Volume Statistics metric group are described in the following table. Metrics of the Logical Volume Statistics metric group are available only on AIX and HP-UX.

Metrics are available only on HP-UX.
