Workload Assurance
A workload is a logical unit of work that represents a stream of related transactions, such as a group of transactions for order processing. These transactions have different resource consumption characteristics or service demands. Different users can run different workloads. The workload can also refer to the amount of time and computing resources required to perform a task. A light workload requires fewer computing resources such as CPU, memory, storage input and output, and so on.
With Workload Assurance, you create one or more workload definitions to understand the resource usage pattern of a server according to the applications running on it. The workload definition includes a set of servers and the processes that are running on them. You can customize this definition according to users and processes. You can then run the workload analysis and review the results. You repeat this process until you get the right workload definition.
