KVM Overview view

Use KVM views to manage the capacity of KVM hosts and virtual machines, and view the KVM infrastructure view treemap, and much more. The KVM Overview page contains views that provide details about KVM hosts and virtual machines. 

  • The KVM Hosts view presents the resource allocation and usage pattern for all hosts.
  • Click the name of the VM to view the details. The detailed views display a time series chart of the key metrics for the last 30 days.
  • The Maps tab provides a graphical representation of the KVM capacity.

Filter and classify the data displayed in the view, with the help of various data filters that are located at the top of the view. For more information, see Filtering-data-displayed-in-Views.

To access KVM Overview in the navigation pane of Views tab, select  Views > Virtualization > KVM > Overview.

Settings

Use the Settings page (Settings icons.png > View Settings) to configure the settings for all pages in the KVM Overview view. 

Field

Description

CPU Utilization %

Edit the threshold values for the CPU utilization in the Maps page of the KVM Overview view:

  • Low Threshold: The entities with capacity starting from 0 to value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of blue.
  • Good Threshold: The entities with capacity starting from the value in the Low Threshold box to the value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of green.
  • Warn Threshold: The entities with capacity starting from the value in the Good Threshold box to the value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of yellow.
    The entities with capacity above the value in the Warn Threshold box are displayed in the shades of red.

Show Benchmark Type

Edit the required Benchmark Type. Use the subresource for resource BYBENCHMARK_VALUE.

Optimizer Thresholds 

Opens the Thresholds page. For more details, see Configuring-and-managing-thresholds-for-metrics-and-indicators.
