Adding and managing view groups
An example of the View groups page
The table contains the following columns:
- View group: Name of the view group.
- Parent view group: Name of the parent view group.
- Package: Name of the package that the view group is part of. For example: Custom, Core.
- Creation date: The date on which the view group was created.
Child view groups inherit the package and access groups that are specified for the parent view group.
Managing View groups
To save the View groups table as a Microsoft Excel file
Click the action menu next to View groups and click Export to Excel.

To create a view group
- In the navigation pane of the Views tab, click Manage views.
- On the View groups tab, click Add view group.
- In the Create view group page:
- Enter a name for the new view group.
- Select a parent view group for the new view group.
- Click Create.
To modify a view group
- From the action menu
that is located next to the view group you want to edit, click Edit view group.
- In the Edit view group page, edit the name or parent view group for the view group.
- Click Save.
To delete a view group
From the action menu that is located next to the view group you want to delete, click Delete view group.
To modify the access rights for a view group
- From the action menu
that is located next to the view group you want to edit the access rights for, click Edit access rights.
- In the Grant visibility to authorization profiles dialog box, select the authorization profiles this view group will be visible and have access to. The selected profiles appear in the Selected authorization profiles list.
- Click Apply.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
