Import external events

Use the following out-of-the-box ETLs to import external events in BMC Helix Continuous Optimization:

These imported events are populated in the event store by using the EVDAT dataset. You can display them on analysis charts to understand the effects of changes or to discover the cause behind incidents. For information about how to import events, see Importing macro-events.

Migrate events from TrueSight Capacity Optimization

Use the Migration toolkit to migrate events from TrueSight Capacity Optimization. For more information, see Key-considerations-for-migration.


Simulate the migration of your servers to the Oracle Cloud

Use Migration Simulation to review and analyze the future cost estimates and cost trends of migrating your on-premises servers or public cloud servers to the Oracle Cloud. 

The simulation results provide recommendations for the type and size of the infrastructure instances on the Oracle Cloud and other public cloud providers along with the associated costs.

Enhanced to import configuration and performance data from AWS RDS instances that are provisioned in the AWS cloud. With RDS support, the ETL can collect data from multiple database engines such as Amazon Aurora, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. 

Enhanced to import configuration and performance data from App Services that are provisioned in the Azure cloud.

Added the shared file systems that are imported by the ETL under the Storage system in the Workspace. The relationship between pools and shared file systems can be viewed in the device-specific page of the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization console.

  • Added support to import the following metrics:
    • The ST_ALLOCATED metric for namespaces
    • The MAINTENANCE_NODE metric for nodes
