NT Extensible PerfCounter Configuration

This NT Extensible PerfCounter Configuration metric group lists the applications, devices, and services that provide information through the Microsoft Windows Server Registry.

Metric

Description

Service Name

Name of service.

Open Procedure

Name of a function in the DLL. The function will be called when performance registry opens.

Close Procedure

Name of a function in the DLL. The function will be called when performance registry closes.

Collect Procedure

Name of a function in the DLL. The function will be called when performance registry needs to collect data for the service.

Dll Name

Name of a DLL that provides performance data for the service.

First Counter

Index, in the file c:\Winnt\perfc009.dat, of the first counter.

Last Counter

Index, in the file c:\Winnt\perfc009.dat, of the last counter.

First Help

Index, in the file c:\Winnt\perfh009.dat, of the explanation string of the first counter.

Last Help

Index, in the file c:\Winnt\perfh009.dat, of the explanation string of the last counter.
