Aggregating process-level data for views


You can schedule process rollup for aggregating and storing process-level data in the Gateway Server. This process-level data is displayed in the table view of the Process Profile page of the Data Explorer views (AIX, KVM and Solaris) in the Views tab. For more details, see Analyzing-your-infrastructure-data-by-using-capacity-views. Once the process rollup is scheduled, it is run on a daily basis.

 To schedule process rollup

  1. Select Administration > GATEWAY MANAGER > Gateway Servers > gatewayserverName.
  2. On the Gateway Server Details page, click Schedule process rollup.

    Note

     This option is available only if the process rollup is not scheduled for the selected Gateway Server.

  3. Select required time in hours from the Start timestamp drop-down list.
  4. Click Schedule.
    When the process rollup is executed a .dbf file is created in the output folder of the Manager scripts for every Manager run.

To unschedule process rollup

  1. Select Administration > GATEWAY MANAGER > Gateway Servers > gatewayserverName
  2. On the Gateway Server Details page, if the process rollup is scheduled for the selected gateway server, you can click Unschedule process rollup.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
