Future Saturations page in the Hyper-V Overview view

The Hyper-V Future Saturations view displays all partitions that are projected to have CPU, memory, or file system saturation within the next 30 days. The 30-day default can be changed by modifying the 'Future Saturation – Show partitions whose forecasted days to saturation are under or equal to threshold' parameter. All values are calculated over the last full month and the current month.

The Hyper-V Future Saturations tab allows you to switch between viewing future saturation details for:

For more information on viewing future saturation details for Hyper-V partitions refer to the following sections:

To access the Hyper-V Future Saturations view in the navigation panel of Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard, select Menu_big.png> Capacity > Views > Virtualization > Hyper-V > Overview > Future Saturations tab. By default, the Partitions tab is displayed. You can switch between the Partitions and the Hosts tabs.

Viewing future saturation details for Hyper-V partitions

The Hyper-V Partition Future Saturation table lists future saturation information for all Hyper-V partitions in the selected domain. By default, some columns are hidden. You can show or hide columns using the action menuaction_menu.pngthat is located next to the VMs table title. For more information, see Sorting-a-table-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.

Each row corresponds to a Hyper-V partition and shows the following information:

For more information on the Days to Saturation and other indicator parameters used for metric computations in this view, see Indicators.

Viewing future saturation details for Hyper-V hosts

The Host Future Saturation table lists future saturation information for all Hyper-V hosts in the selected domain. By default, some columns are hidden. You can show or hide columns using the action menuaction_menu.pngthat is located next to the VMs table title. For more information, see Sorting-a-table-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.

Using data filters and other controls in tables

You can sort and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, filter tables on particular domains, and so on. For more information, see Sorting-a-table-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.

You can choose to display data of a particular host in the Partitions by using the host filter option. For more information, see Using-filtering-options-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.
