Managing an Investigate study group

An Investigate study group enables you to group the required investigate studies for quick access to multiple studies. You can use a study group to simultaneously analyze the performance of multiple/same systems for same/different metrics. You can add investigate studies to a study group when you create or edit an investigate study.

To access a study group

1. To access an Investigate study group, select  > Capacity > Investigate.
2. Click the name of the required study group.
   The selected study group page is displayed. By default, only four investigate studies are displayed on the study group page. If there are more than four studies, click the next or page number to view other Investigate studies that are associated with the selected study group.

To edit a study group

1. Select  > Capacity > Investigate.
2. Click the name of the required study group.
   The selected study group page is displayed.
3. (Optional): Click Auto-refresh to enable or disable auto refresh for all Investigate studies associated with the selected study group.

4. (Optional): Click  next to time period to select the required time period for all Investigate studies associated with the selected study group.

   Note

   The Auto-refresh and time period options configured in a study group are applicable to associated studies only if you access studies from the study group. If you access a study from the Investigate page, the data in the selected study is displayed according to the options configured for the selected study. 5. Click Save study group.
6. In the Save study group page, edit the name of the study group and click Save.

The following graphics shows how to edit and save a study group.

To delete multiple study groups

1. In the Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard, click  > Capacity > Investigate.
2. Select the action menu next to Investigate studies and select Delete study groups.
   The Delete study groups page is displayed.
3. Select the required study groups and click Apply.
   Selected study groups are deleted.

To delete a specific study group

1. In the Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard, click  > Capacity > Investigate.
2. Under Investigate, select the required study group that you want to delete.
3. Besides the study group name at the top, select  > Delete study group. 
   A confirmation message is displayed.
4. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

To configure study group settings

1. Select  > Capacity > Investigate.
2. Click the name of the required study group.
   The selected study group page is displayed.
3. Click  > Edit Settings. 
   The Settings page is displayed.  
4. Specify the values for the following fields:
   • Number of studies per page: Specify the number of studies to be displayed per page.
   • Interval span for high granularity data (minutes): If you have configured the study to display high granular (one second) data, the pagination is applied, and data is displayed in multiple pages. Use this setting to configure the interval span for pagination. For example, if you have set the interval span as 60 minutes, the data for 60 minutes is displayed on each page. 
5. Click Apply. The selected configuration is applied to the study group.
