Reviewing Capacity Agent details


When you install Capacity Agents, the agent version and patch level details are updated by the installer and stored in the Capacity Optimization data warehouse. These details are stored in the AGENT dataset (Administration > DATA WAREHOUSE > Datasets & metrics > By Dataset tab).

As a BMC Helix Capacity Optimization administrator, you can either schedule a daily report, or run it on demand, in order to view the Capacity Agent version details. Periodic audits on the Version, Service Pack and Patch levels of Capacity Agents can help you keep them updated and as current as possible. In addition, if you experience a failure with a Capacity Agent, when you contact BMC to help with the investigation of the problem, you need to provide the Capacity Agent version and patch level. This report has all the information you may need to provide.
