KBytes Read | Total amount of kilobytes read by the filesystem |
KBytes Written | Total amount of kilobytes written to the filesystem |
Total I/O Kbs | Total throughput of the filesystem, measured in kilobytes. |
Read Requests | Total number of read requests made to the filesystem |
Write Requests | Total number of write requests made to the filesystem |

User Capacity | Capacity available in the file system for the user |
Inode Utilization | The total utilization of inodes in the file system. |
User Utilization | The total amount of utilization of the file system by the specified user. |
Statistics Available | Indicates whether or not I/O statistics are available. 0 = No; 1 = Yes. |
AIX metrics
IBM Workload Partitions (WPARs) are virtualized operating system environments within a single instance of an AIX operating system. WPARs secure and isolate the environment for the processes and signals that are used by enterprise applications. All WPAR metrics apply only for Agents on AIX 6.1.2.1 and later.
IBM Logical Partitions (LPARs) are subsets of a computer's hardware resources, virtualized as separate computers. In effect, a physical machine can be partitioned into multiple logical partitions, each hosting a separate operating system.
The following metric groups support AIX WPARs and LPARs:
WPAR Statistics
The following table describes the WPAR Statistics metric group.
WPAR Configuration
The following table describes the WAPR Configuration metric group.
Shared Ethernet Adapter Device Statistics
The following table describes the Shared Ethernet Adapter Device Statistics collected from AIX SPLPAR.
Metric | Description |
|---|---|
Adapter Name | Name of the EthernetChannel adapter. |
Parent Name | If the EtherChannel is contained within another adapter, this field displays the parent adapter's name (for example, ent6). This field displays a value of NONE if the EtherChannel is not contained within another adapter (the default). |
Input Bytes [MB/sec] | Number of input bytes per second to the interface. |
Output Bytes [MB/sec] | Number of output bytes per second to the interface. |
Input Requests [op/sec] | Number of input requests per second to the interface. |
Output Requests [op/sec] | Number of input requests per second to the interface. |
Packet In Rate [packets/sec] | The number of packets received successfully by the device per second. |
Packet Out Rate [packets/sec] | The number of packets transmitted successfully by the device per second. |
Byte In Rate [bytes/sec] | The number of bytes received successfully by the device per second. |
Byte Out Rate [bytes/sec] | The number of bytes transmitted successfully by the device per second. |
Error In Rate [errors/sec] | The number of input errors encountered on this device. This is a counter for unsuccessful reception due to hardware/network errors. |
Error out Rate [errors/sec] | The number of output errors encountered on this device. This is a counter for unsuccessful transmissions due to hardware/network errors. |
Shared Ethernet Adapter Device Configuration
The following table describes the Shared Ethernet Adapter Device Configuration metrics collected from AIX SPLPAR.
Device Type | It contains the description of the adapter type. |
Device Role | It is the role of the device, for example Real, Virtual, Backup etc. |
File System Statistics (AIX)
The following table lists all file system metrics available for AIX systems:
Metric | Description |
|---|---|
Logical Volume Name | Name of the logical volume configured on the filesystem |
