vSphere Infrastructure view

The Infrastructure view enables you to manage the capacity of a virtualized infrastructure that is running vSphere, and presents key capacity metrics and charts for vSphere hosts and domains. You can use vSphere views to complete tasks such as manage the capacity of vSphere hosts belonging to a cluster, identify vSphere VMs that can be added to clusters, manage  vSphere datastores, explore the vSphere infrastructure tree map view, and so on.

To access the vSphere Infrastructure view in the navigation panel of Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard, select Menu_big.png > Capacity > Views > Virtualization > vSphere > Infrastructure. The vSphere Infrastructure page contains subviews that provide details on vSphere clusters, hosts, and datastores. The view also provides a set of actions as recommendations to help you resolve issues for your vSphere infrastructure.

CPU Utilization [%]

Modify the required values for displaying the threshold values for the CPU utilization in the Maps page of the vSphere Infrastructure view:

  • In the Low Threshold box, edit the threshold value for CPU utilization in percentage. The entities with capacity starting from 0 to value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of blue color.
  • In the Good Threshold box, edit the threshold value for CPU utilization in percentage. The entities with capacity starting from the value in the Low Threshold box to the value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of green color.
  • In the Warn Threshold box, edit the threshold value for CPU utilization in percentage. The entities with capacity starting from the value in the Good Threshold box to the value below the value in this box are displayed in the shades of yellow color.
The entities with capacity above the value in the Warn Threshold box are displayed in the shades of red color.

Composite Memory Utilization [%]

Modify the required values for displaying the threshold values for the composite memory utilization in the Maps page of the vSphere Infrastructure view:
