HP-UX views

The HP-UX views enable you to manage the capacity of a virtualized infrastructure running on an HP-UX environment.

It provides an overview of the available hosts in the HP-UX virtualization environment, including details about CPU and memory utilization, pool entitlement utilization, unused resources and more.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the administrator has completed the following tasks:

For information about views, see Accessing-and-using-capacity-views-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.

Certified data sources

The BMC - TrueSight Capacity Optimization Gateway VIS files parser is the certified data sources for these views. You must configure and run one of these ETL modules to import data into the view. For more information, see BMC-TrueSight-Capacity-Optimization-Gateway-VIS-files-parser.

If you are importing data from an ETL module other than the certified data source, then ensure that you have all the metrics populated in the ETL module so that the view shows the data.

Information

Certain metrics are required for these views. If the metrics are not imported, then corresponding columns are blank. Particularly, for Data Explorer view for this platform, you must import specific metrics for some of the charts to be available.

For a list of all the metrics in a view, see the required topic in the following views:

The HP-UX view displays data for all systems of the following types:

  • Virtual Machine - HP Integrity
  • Virtual Host - HP Integrity
  • HPnPartition
