Pools page in the AIX PowerVM view

The Pools page in the AIX PowerVM view provides an overview of configured pools in all hosts (or in the selected host) that includes information such as CPU and memory utilization, CPU entitlement utilization, processor count, and more. All metrics in this view are common to both HMC Only and LPAR instrumented modes.

The following figure shows the Pools view page displaying pool related information for all hosts.

For more information, see:

  • By default, the metric tables in this view are filtered on all domains. Use the domain filter options to select the required domain from the table.
  • By default, the summarization time range for all metrics is set to Last 30 days. Use the time filter options controls to select an alternate range.

For detailed information on how to use filters, see Using-filtering-options-in-the-Helix-Capacity-Optimization-Dashboard.

Viewing the PowerVM pools table

The Pools table lists all pools in all hosts (unless filtered on selected hosts using the Hosts filter) contained in the selected domain.

Each row corresponds to a PowerVM pool and shows the following information.

Notes

  • Metrics marked with ➕️ are displayed only if Active Memory Sharing (AMS) is enabled.
  • By default, some columns are hidden. You can show or hide columns using the action menuaction_menu.pngthat is located next to the Pools table title. For more information, see Sorting a table in the Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard.

Using data filters and other controls in tables

You can sort and filter the information that is displayed in tables to suit your need. For instance, you can show or hide columns, filter tables on particular domains, and so on. You can host filters in the Pools table, to display only those filtered on the selected host.

For more information, see Sorting a table in the Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard and Using filtering options in the Helix Capacity Optimization Dashboard.
