Creating and running data feed health reports

BMC Helix Capacity Optimization allows you to collect data from many managed nodes through Agents. This data is transferred and processed on a small number of Gateway Server machines once in every 24 hours. The BMC-TrueSight-Capacity-Optimization-Gateway-VIS-files-parser ETL module allows you to parse the processed data from these Gateway Server machines and create a feed for the BMC Helix Capacity Optimization Data Warehouse. The Gateway Server Admin Helper is a built-in System task that helps track this data feed. The built-in report template, Gateway Data Feed Health Report, is used to create a report that displays the number of nodes configured for collection, and how many of these are successfully passing through the stages of collection, transfer, processing, and loading into the BMC Helix Capacity Optimization Data Warehouse for the last 30 days.

The information displayed in the report helps you to assess failures in the Gateway Server data collection, transfer and processing as well as the status of data population through ETLs for this data. To configure and manage this feed, navigate to Administering > Gateway Manager.
