Checking endpoint usage, powered by Jitterbit

To ensure license compliance, you can view and monitor your endpoint usage on the Endpoints Usage page in the Jitterbit Harmony Management Console.

An endpoint, also referred to as an application connection, is defined as each connection between the Harmony platform and a third-party application, data source, or unique combination of system/IP addresses. The report displays monthly data to calculate your license entitlement and to review month-by-month over 12 months.

Before you begin

Verify the following before accessing the Endpoints Usage page:

  • Admin role: Only users with the Admin role can access this page.
  • Agent version: Endpoint usage data is available only for operations run on agents version 11.49 or later.

To check endpoint usage

  1. Navigate to the Harmony portal menu and select Management Console > Endpoints Usage
  2. The Endpoint usage page displays a toolbar, an endpoints table, and an endpoint details drawer that opens when you select an endpoint
  3. Use the search bar to highlight text in any column of the table.
  4. Filter endpoints by usage during a selected month or by environment class using the Usage for and Environment class menus.
  5. The table lists endpoints, defined as each connection between the Harmony platform and a third-party application, data source, or unique combination of system/IP addresses.
  6. You can sort, resize, rearrange, show/hide columns, and save your column settings using the Columns Settings drawer.
  7. For Studio projects, click Go to endpoint to open the endpoint's configuration in Studio.
  8. The endpoint details drawer provides additional information about each endpoint, including unique identifier fields and usage data for operations run within the past 12 months.

Note
Endpoint usage is not shown for private agents communicating through a proxy server. Custom connectors do not currently have reported endpoint usage. Some connectors may not display all unique identifier values but still count towards licensing.  It may take up to 1 hour for newly used endpoints to appear in the table.

Limitations

  • Endpoint usage is not shown for private agents communicating through a proxy server.
  • Custom connectors do not currently have reported endpoint usage.
  • Some connectors may not display all unique identifier values, but still count toward licensing. Jitterbit intends to add reporting for these fields in the future.

Important considerations

  • License class: Each connector belongs to either a Standard or Enterprise license class. Enterprise connectors are available as an add-on. Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable them.
  • Usage reporting symbols: In the endpoint unique identifier fields table, ✓ means usage is actively reported, ✗ means usage is not yet reported but still counts toward your license, and • means the connector does not count toward endpoint usage.
  • Production class only: Only endpoints in the Production environment class count toward your licensed usage. Sandbox and non-production environments are excluded.
  • Viewing your licensed count: To quickly see your licensed endpoint count for the current month, filter by Production environment class. This count is also visible on the Dashboard page under the Licensed vs Actual Use tile.
  • Production class only: Only endpoints in the Production environment class count toward licensed usage. Sandbox and other non-production environments are excluded. Ensure that environments are correctly tagged in the Jitterbit configuration.
