Adding applications to the Digital Service Management page
To add applications
- Log in to the BMC Helix SSO Admin Console.
- Navigate to the Launchpad tab, and then click Add Application.
On the Add Application page, enter the following details:
Field
Description
Application Title
Title of the application displayed on the DSM page.
Application URL
URL of the application. The value must contain an application domain specified in at least in one realm. For information about how to set application domain in a realm, see Adding-and-configuring-realms. If the value does not contain an application domain specified in at least one realm, then you must configure the Tenant field.
Tenant (Optional)
In this field, you specify a tenant name. The value that you configure in this field must correspond to the Tenant field value of some realm.
Note:
- If you configure this field, an end user will be authenticated through the realm belonging to a tenant, and the applications available to an end user depend on the Tenant field value, and the Application URL is ignored. For information about how end users see applications on their DSM page, see the diagram on the Start-page.
- If your system had the Tenant field configured for some of the realms before you upgraded to version 19.08, you must configure the Tenant field for these applications after upgrade.
Enabled
Select this option to display on the Digital Service Management page. By default, this check box is unselected.
Application icon (Optional)
To upload a custom image, click on the flower icon.
You cannot upload an image bigger than 48*48 pixel, and more than 5 MB.
Note: BMC Helix SSO does not do any image processing. Images of other dimensions are rescaled to the optimum size by the web browser. Do not upload large files, because is may take longer to load them from the network.
To reset the icon to the default image, click Set default.
- Click Save.
To delete applications from the Digital Service Management page
When you no longer need the application, you can remove it from the Digital Service Management page by selecting it and clicking on the Delete icon.
To temporarily remove the application from the DSM page, select an application and clear the Enabled check box.
