This topic provides customers with information about service operations for the BMC Helix Service Management for Telco service.

BMC Helix Service Management for Telco merges BMC Helix IT Service Management (ITSM) with BMC Helix Telco Extensions into a single solution that is complemented by BMC HelixGPT and Digital Workplace Advanced, to provide intelligent service management solutions that are custom-designed to meet the needs of CSPs (Communications Service Providers). For product-specific documentation, see BMC Helix Telco Extensions overview.

License entitlements

The following applications, features, and utilities are available with the purchase of BMC Helix Service Management for Telco:

  • All entitlements available with the purchase of BMC Helix ITSM Suite
  • All entitlements available with the purchase of BMC Helix Telco Extensions
  • HelixGPT* - All HelixGPT agents (aligned with Service Management Suite Advanced) and any Telco Extention specific HelixGPT agents available today or in the future.
  • Digital Workplace Advanced (100 active employee end-users per agent license)

* BYO: Bring Your Own Keys/LLM means the customer enters a separate agreement with the LLM vendor

With the "per named user - SaaS" unit of measurement, each named user accessing the application has an assigned license that is not available to other users.

With the "per concurrent user - SaaS" unit of measurement, a concurrent user accesses the application from a pool of shared licenses if one is available.

Additional license terms

The following additional terms apply to the BMC Helix Service Management for Telco service:

  • Licensing terms and conditions are as defined in the governing master agreement and take precedence over any published description from this site. 
  • Entitlements are subject to change. 
  • Non-production environments are configured with the same license capacity as the production environment.  
  • User licenses cannot be shared between multiple users; each user license entitles one user access to all license capabilities referenced above and these entitlements may not be split between multiple users. 
  • A concurrent user license is consumed from the pool as soon as the user logs into the system and is held for a minimum of one hour in case of inactivity. 
  • Purchased licenses are valid only on one production environment. 
  • Integrations into the system may not be used to circumvent user licensing.
