System requirements for the on-premises gateway


Before you deploy the BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations on-premises gateway, make sure that your environment meets the following hardware and software requirements.

System requirements for deployments on Docker containers

Requirement

Description

Hardware

CPU: Minimum 8 CPUs with Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) enabled

Memory: 32 GB

Disk space: 

  • /opt/bmc directory with 250 GB disk space (required for the container images and utility files)
  • Docker deployment: /var/lib/docker directory with 100 GB disk space

Operating system

  • CentOS 8.x, 9.x
  • Oracle Linux 8.6, 9.x
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x, 9.x

Software

  • Docker Engine 23.or later
    To install Docker Engine, see Install Docker Engine.

  • Docker Compose 2.6.or later

System requirements for deployments on Podman containers

Requirement

Description

Hardware

CPU: Minimum 8 CPUs with Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) enabled

  • Podman version 4.9 or later

  • Podman Compose version 1.0.4
    Important: Use 
    podman-compose with Podman as the runtime.

  • CPU: Minimum 16 cores, Maximum 40 cores
  • Memory: Minimum 32 Gi, Maximum 64 Gi
  • Block storage: Minimum 30 Gi, Maximum 130 Gi with ReadWriteOnce access mode for PersistentVolumeClaim
  • Storage required for Docker images: 12 Gi

On-premises gateway monitoring services requirements:

  • CPU: Minimum 8 cores, Maximum 20 cores
  • Memory: Minimum 12 Gi, Maximum 24 Gi
  • Block storage: Minimum 20 Gi, Maximum 120 Gi with ReadWriteOnce access mode for PersistentVolumeClaim
  • Storage required for Docker images: 8 Gi

Software

Kubernetes 1.30

Host Controller
  • Helm v3.11.2
  • Kubernetes (kubectl) client (same version as the cluster version)
  • Docker Engine 23.or later
