Backing up and restoring connector configurations


You can back up the current configuration of all the connectors that are created in BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations in a JSON file and restore it when needed.

To back up the configuration of connectors

  1. On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
  2. On the Backup and Restore configurations dialog box, update the backup file name if needed. 
    By default, the file is created with the following naming convention: BACKUP-timestamp.
  3. Click Save Save.pngnext to the file name.
    The backup entry appears on the Backup and Restore Configurations dialog box.

  4. (Optional) Click Download download.pngto download the backup file. 

To delete a backup configuration

  1. On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
  2. On the Backup and Restore configurations dialog box, click Delete Delete.pngnext to the backup configuration you want to delete.

To restore the configuration of connectors

  1. On the toolbar, click Backup/Restore.
  2. On the Backup and Restore configurations dialog box, do the following:

    Warning

    If you select the Empty option, all the connector sources and destinations are deleted. 

    • To restore a previous configuration, select the configuration.
    • To restore configuration from a file, click Import from file and browse to the backup file.

    • To restore from the last saved configuration, select autosave.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
