3. | Set up users and user groups, and assign specific roles to them. User management functions are performed in BMC Helix Portal. The Automation Engineer and Automation Developer roles are available out-of-the-box. | |
4. | Connect with BMC or third-party automation tools. Configure the out-of-the-box cloud or on-premises connectors to connect with automation tools. After a successful configuration, as an automation engineer, you can create automation policies to remediate events and situations generated in BMC Helix Operations Management or BMC Helix AIOps. | |
5. | Configure the Proactive Service Resolution solution. The solution automatically creates incidents or trouble tickets in the supported IT Service Management or trouble ticket management system for infrastructure events generated in BMC Helix Operations Management or BMC Helix AIOps. If using BMC Helix ITSM, as an automation engineer, you can enable incident noise reduction to create a single incident for an BMC Helix AIOps situation and its events. | |
6. | Configure the Blackout Policy solution. The solution automatically creates blackout policies in BMC Helix Operations Management based on change requests created in BMC Helix ITSM. |
