1. | Register with BMC and activate BMC Helix Intelligent Automation
Your free trial remains active for 14 days. During the trial, you get unrestricted access to all the capabilities available with the integrated products and common services. To continue using the integrated products after the trial expires and for any other queries, contact BMC Support. | |
2. | Provide consent for data collection When you log in for the first time as a tenant administrator, provide your consent for data collection in the Allow data collection for product improvement dialog box. By default, the data collection settings are disabled for a tenant administrator. To provide your consent for data collection for all the users:

3. | Launch BMC Helix Intelligent Automation When your account is created, you receive the URL and the credentials to log on to BMC Helix Portal.

4. | Understand user roles and permissions The Automation Engineer and Automation Developer roles are available out-of-the-box. You may choose to add more users to this role depending on your requirement. | |
5. | Configure connectors available in BMC Helix Intelligent Automation As an automation engineer, depending upon the automation tool or application that you want to connect with, configure the connectors. After you configure a connector, all supported actions for the application are available to you while creating automation policies. | |
6. | View incoming requests for creating automation policies View the request sent from BMC Helix AIOps to create automation policies in BMC Helix Intelligent Automation. These requests contain information about the open events in the event monitoring product. | |
7. | Create automation policies Based on the incoming requests or events, create automation policies for configured connectors and add actions that get triggered based on the trigger conditions in the policy. When a policy runs, actions in the policy remediate events. |
