Analyzing device health with BMC Helix Dashboards

Objective

Analyze device health by using BMC Helix Operations Management and BMC Helix Dashboards.


Step 1: In BMC Helix Operations Management

  1. Analyze device health by doing the following steps::
    1. Log in to BMC Helix Operations Management and go to Monitoring > Devices to view the number of events on all devices.
    2. Click a device to view more details.
  2. Click the device action menu and click Launch Dashboard to open the Metrics data dashboard for the device.

Step 2: In BMC Helix Dashboards

Use the Metrics Data dashboard and its features to get insights into the device health. You can do any of the following steps:

  • Change the time range of the device to view its history.
    To do this, click the Time Range icon time_range_icon.png, select an absolute or a relative time range for your report, and apply the time range.
  • Zoom in on a panel to view deeper statistics.
