Problems by Asset dashboard

As a dashboard user, use the Problems by Asset dashboard to monitor and manage problems across an organization's assets. You can quickly identify the assets with problems, investigate individual problems, and access detailed reports for root cause analysis.

Example: View the count of problems related to an asset

Garth is an asset manager working in Calbro services. He wants to view the number of problem investigations related to the assets. He notices that some assets have multiple problem investigations related to them. He then performs a root cause analysis of the problems related to these assets so that he can resolve the issues and take necessary steps to make sure these problems do not occur in the future.

To view the dashboard

  1. From the navigation menu menu_icon.png, click Dashboards.

  2. Click the Helix ITSM folder and then click Problems by Asset.

    Tip: Quick access from the home page

    To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.

Dashboard filters

The Date and time range global filter displays the information for the selected time period on the dashboard. 

By default, the search result displays the relevant information for the last 30 days.

Top Assets Assigned Problems

Displays the number of problem investigations related to the assets in a bar chart.

Displays the total number of relationships between the problem investigations and assets.

Problem Breakdown by Asset Class

Displays the percentage of problem investigations related to each asset class type in a pie chart.

Count of Problems per Asset

Displays the number of problem investigations related to each asset type in a tabular format. The CIs with different reconciliation IDs are listed separately.

Click the count of problems to view the problem investigation details. The list of problem investigations related to that asset are displayed in the All Problems of Selected Asset - Drill-through dashboard.

Click Problem Id to view the Printable Problem Details Report.
